Hello! This week is C for Cookies and Cupcakes.

Today I wil share a Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookie Recipe with you all.

Yields 7 dozen.


1 Cup butter, softened

3/4 Cup sugar

3/4 Cup brown sugar

2 eggs

1 Teaspoon vanilla extract

3 Cups quick cooking oats

1 1/2 Cup all-purpose flour

1 Package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix

1 Teaspoon baking soda

1 Teaspoon salt

12 oz semisweet chocolate chips

1 Cup Chopped nuts (optional)


In a large bowl, cream butter and both sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs and the vanilla.Combine the oats, flour, pudding mix,  baking soda, and the salt; gradually adding to creamed mixture. Mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts if chosen.

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2in. apart onto UNGREASED baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until the cookies are lightly browned. Remove from oven to wire racks. From the Taste of Home  Cookies book by Taste of Home/Reader’s Digest.

$1 FlipFlop Sale Follow Up

Hi! So I went to the Old Navy $1 flipflop sale, and it was amazing! They had tons of flipflops there, but they were already starting to disappear. For example, as the line snaked through the boys section, there were almost NO flipflops left! But al least in the womens section, where the line started, the bins of flipflops were still a little more than halfway full. The line literally went around like half the store. You to wait like 30 minutes, but if you got there right whem they opened, at 7, you probably only had to wait maybe 10 minutes. My mom and I didn’t get to Old Navy til like 9, unfortunatly. There is still time to go to your local Old Navy. Find one nearest you at
